We are excited to announce that starting Oct. 1, 2016, OneAmerica® will begin Just in Time (JIT) processing for all Care Solutions appointment paperwork from the brokerage channel. This long-anticipated change will allow us to better serve you in many ways.
JIT PROCESSING WILL:
- Route all licensing calls directing to our Licensing team. For you, this means one call, one answer and one solution when you contact us.
- Reduce appointment processing time from 5-7 days to just 48-72 hours when the appointment is in good order (IGO), which reduces the need for follow-up communications.
- Reduce profile-change processing time from 3-5 days to 24-48 hours, which reduces the likelihood of routing commissions and communications to the wrong place.
- Reduce the annual cost to appoint agents by over 50%.
- Greatly improve efficiency for both OneAmerica and your team.
JUST IN TIME PROCESS
Please review the JIT process below:
- Appointment paperwork will be sent to OneAmerica Licensing department as usual, but appointment and background check will not be performed until first piece of business is submitted.
- Licensing will verify the appointment paperwork has been received and is IGO within 72 hours of receipt. Agent/BGA will be notified that their appointment will be processed pending a background check and first piece of new business.
- If appointment paperwork is not in good order (NIGO), licensing will notify the agent/BGA within 72 hours what is required to be IGO. Appointment paperwork NIGO for more than 30 days will be removed from the system and will need to be resubmitted.
- Licensing will complete a background check for any appointment paperwork that is received with “yes” checked off in the background questions. These will not be held for new business. (OneAmerica will not do a background check on agents other than the above until they produce new business.)
- Appointment paperwork received for pre-appointment states will be processed as it is received.
- No agent code will be created until the appointment is processed after new business has been submitted.
