HI: Thrivent 2016 LTCI launches June 24
For field licensed in Hawaii
The 2016 Thrivent Long-Term Care insurance (LTCi) is launching June 24 in Hawaii, with a paper application process. You must submit all applications via paper form, as CAP applications will not be available. The HI LTC required application forms and HI LTC leave with applicant forms are located in the Thrivent Online Forms Utility (TOFU).
Updated features of the 2016 product include:
- Added: 1% and 2% Annual Increase Benefit.
- Changed: Couples discount of 20% if both apply and are approved and 5% discount if one spouse/partner applies or is approved for coverage.
- Discontinued: 120-day Benefit Multiplier, Pay-to-age 65 Payment Option and the Restoration of Benefits rider.
Partnership qualified contracts will not be available at this time. For details, refer to the State Specific Partnership Requirements document on FieldNet.
Transition dates for LTCi applications
- June 23 – Last day to write and submit 2014 LTCi applications
- June 24 – New 2016 LTCi product available via paper application
- July 2 – All 2014 LTCi paper applications dated June 23, 2018, or earlier must be received at corporate
