A public information effort sponsored by the United States Department of Health and Services and the participating state, “Own Your Future” encourages individuals to plan for long-term care needs. On September 28th, in the state of Minnesota, over one million individuals will receive a letter from the Governor focused on considering your long-term care needs, supplemented by an email campaign (to 500,000) and Google campaign. New Kiplinger reprint article now available

The November 2012 issue of Kiplinger’s Personal Finance included a two-page educational article from the American Association of Long-Term Care Insurance, sponsored by John Hancock. Titled “Valuable Lessons on Long-Term Care Planning,” the article, geared towards 40-60 year-olds, outlines the benefits of starting the long-term care planning process early. North Dakota Partnership Training Requirement Change
As of August 31st, 2012, the state of North Dakota has revised their LTC insurance training requirements. Producers that fail to take their ongoing refresher training within 24 months of their last training completion are required to re-take the 8 hour initial training course. Attached, please find a copy of the bulletin from North Dakota. The 8-hour initial and 4-hour refresher training are available at www.jhpartnership.com.
