Updated CPI Materials Now Available
John Hancock LTC Insurance has updated the CPI Facts brochure (LTC-3774), written to provide helpful information about CPI-linked inflation protection and to demonstrate why CPI is a smart approach to growing LTC insurance benefits. It is now available to download and order on www.jhltc.com. And, use the LTCfocus Sales Idea, “Achieve Maximum Growth & Affordable Premiums with CPI-linked inflation” (LTC-6063) to help spread the word about this unique benefit option.
Reminder: A new LTC Cost of Care Calculator app for iPad users is now available for free on iTunes
Last week, John Hancock LTC Insurance announced the launch of its first iPad app, the John Hancock Cost of Care Calculator. The app provides an easy and convenient way for users to better understand long-term care needs and expenses in the present and the future.

John Hancock has outlined its LTC policies on new entrants to these programs.

Reminder: Change to administrative system – Policyholder notifications continuing in late February
John Hancock will be continuing the conversion of certain policies to a new administrative system to better serve our clients. As a result, we will be notifying certain policyholders in late February that we will be dropping the first two digits from their policy number and that the payment address has changed.
Reminder: Oregon to join Interstate Compact in late February – applications and materials are impacted
Effective February 27, 2012, Oregon will join the Interstate Insurance Compact for Long-Term Care. More detailed information about the changes to and availability of application booklets and consumer marketing materials will be in next week’s Newslink.
