Genworth: NY requires “Definition of Replacement” form to be completed prior to taking a Life or Annuity application

If you are planning to replace a Life or Annuity product in the State of New York, please be aware of the rules regarding replacement.  Read the full Genworth bulletin for these rules, and links to the required forms for this action.

The responses to questions on Form No. NY-1887 determine whether replacement may occur. If replacement may occur, producers and owners must also complete the Notice of Replacement and Authorization (Form No. NY-1888) before completing the application. The Disclosure Statement and the Important Notice of Replacement must be present and signed prior to time the application is completed or at the same time the application is completed.
