John Hancock: LTCI applicants no longer required to provide a blood and urine sample

Customers applying for a John Hancock long-term care insurance policy are no longer required to provide a blood and urine sample. Click here for an announcement flyer with complete details and more.

These changes have been reflected in the following materials:

•The electronic version of the LTC Field Underwriting Guide (LTC-1727) has been updated on JHLTC.com. An insert has been created for the print version of the guide and that will be available the week of April 12th.
•The consumer flyers “How to Prepare for the Long-Term Care Insurance Paramedical Exam” (LTC 2172, also NY and FL versions) are also now available for download and printed copies will be available for order the week of April 12th).

Please note: This requirement is effective April 1st.  For applications that are currently in underwriting where the medical requirements have not been completed, the blood and urine will not be required.
