Effective August 1st, LifeSecure will implement a new improvement to our underwriting process. Now, both types of amendment documents will be included with the policy in the client’s welcome kit. Currently, amendment documents that require the client’s signature are sent directly to the client prior to policy issue.
If the amendment does not require your client’s signature, no further action is required by the agent, after policy delivery is complete. NOTE: All amendments and welcome kits are either mailed to the agent or client, depending on the delivery method chosen at the time of application.
If there is a need for a signed amendment, your client must return the signed amendment to LifeSecure within 45 days from the policy issued date.
If your client does not return the signed amendment to LifeSecure within 45 days, the policy will be cancelled and any commissions paid will be reversed.
Agents will be emailed each time an amendment requiring a signature or an amendment documenting an increase in premium is included in the client’s welcome kit. All amendments created after July 31, 2013 will be available for viewing in your Agent Portal.
