We are very pleased to announce that Standard & Poors(S&P) has upgraded Mutual of Omaha and it’s core operating companies to AA-(Very Strong). the fourth highes of the agency’s 21 insurance ratings. “The ratings outlook is stable,” S&P said.
In upgrading Mutual’s rating, S&P cited the company’s “very strong” business risk profile (BRP) and financial risk profile (FRP).
“The upgrade is based on our view that Mutual of Omaha has improved it’s BRP and FRP over the last several years resulting in stronger credit quality. Specifically, Mutual of Omaha has executed well and sustained it’s improvements in operating performance and risk-adjusted capitalization through 2014 and we expect these improvements to continue,” S&P said in a press release announcing the upgrade.
