Mutual of Omaha: Underwriting Guide Updates coming 4/18, effective 5/1

At Mutual of Omaha we are always looking for ways to support your sales efforts and improve our processes. Do help accomplish this, we have revised the MutualCare Solutions Underwriting guide with the most updated information about uninsurable medications and updated medical impairments and requirements. The new guide will be available to order on April 18 and updates are effective on May 1.

Some updated medical impairment you should take note of:

· ADD/ADHD-clarified Stable 1 year to Stable 1 year on one medication under preferred underwriting

· Amaurosis Fugax/Amnesia–Added One episode and Two episode classes

· Drug Abuse–Changed drug free guideline from 5 years to 3 years

· Hematuria–Added Chronic, stable, after 2 years, negative work up, meaning there is no underlying medical issue causing condition

· Sleep Apnea-guidelines have added Severe in compliance with treatment to individual consideration
