Transamerica: HIPAA Rule Changes Require Revised Business Associate Agreements.

Due to the Department of Health and Human Service’s recent “Omnibus Rule” changes to HIPAA, we are required to update Business Associate Agreements (BAA).
Beginning Friday, March 28th, you’ll receive a notice either via email or USPS with a link to your new BAA with step-by-step instructions for an electronic signature. We will also include a brief FAQ that explains the changes.
What does this mean to you? You must sign your new BAA by September 23,2014, or you may not be able to sell or service our HIPAA covered products.
To ensure compliance, we advise you to sign your new BAA as soon as possible.
