Between May 28 and June 4, 2014, producers will receive the following notification from Genworth regarding expired long term care insurance training. We know that it can be difficult to manage training expiration dates and requirements for refresher training. This notice is being sent as a courtesy to prevent the inconvenience to your clients, producers and back office staff in the event a Long Term Care application is taken where the training has expired. State regulations require that producers periodically refresh their Long Term Care training, also known as Product Training or CE. Genworth is providing this notice because our systems reflect an expiration date for you of May 2014 or earlier in one or more states. If you have not already done so, please contact your provider of choice and complete the appropriate training (CE) prior to taking a long term care insurance application.
You will find detailed information related to your training on file with Genworth at www.genworth.com/pro, where you can log in to view your record. Additionally, at https://www.genworth.com/ltc-state-training.html you will find helpful links related to state requirements, reciprocity, state specific courses and providers. There are some state specific requirements and reciprocity rules that may impact your requirements. Please check with your back office as well ‒ there may be preferred providers or courses they would suggest.
In order to submit a New Business application for long term care insurance, you must complete the applicable long term care training (CE) course before the application signed date. Applications will be returned if all training and licensure requirements have not been met as of the date of the application. If you have questions, you may contact your Firm.
