Attention Idaho and Minnesota State Life Producers
Idaho and Minnesota have adopted the new NAIC Suitability in Annuity Transactions, to be effective July 1, 2013. This regulation requires all producers who engage in the sale of annuity products to complete product specific training for each insurer for which they sell.
In order to ensure compliance with this rule, each producer must have adequate knowledge of the State Life Care Solutions products and must be in compliance with our standards for product training. You can access and complete the product training at www.oneamerica.com/slproducttraining. You should do this as soon as possible in order to continue to write business with State Life.
The Idaho and Minnesota Administrative Rule also requires completion of a 4-hour annuity training course. For your convenience, you may also satisfy the 4-hour requirement for a nominal fee on our training site. The product training component is, of course, free of charge.
